Privacy Policy

Facio is a free skin and hair care guidance app and website made by Sevyn Prism, the app studio of Shreya Patle, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("Facio", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information Facio uses, where it is kept and the choices you have. It covers the Facio app for iPhone and Android and the website at facio.sevynprism.com.

1. Information that stays on your device

To tailor its suggestions, Facio asks for:

• a first name or nickname, your age and gender
• skin or hair details (for example skin type, sensitivity, hair type, scalp type and treatments)
• whether you are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding, so that unsafe ingredients are left out
• the concerns you choose, anything you type or tap to describe them, your daily checklist, weekly check-ins and reminder times

All of this is stored only in your device's local app storage. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it. On iPhone it can also be part of your own iCloud or computer backups of your phone, which only you control. Some of it, such as pregnancy status and skin or scalp conditions, is health-related, which is why it never leaves your device.

2. Photos and the camera

Facio uses your camera only when you choose to scan your face or check your part line. The photo is analysed by code running on your phone. It is held in memory while you look at the result, is never uploaded to any server, and is not saved to your photo library. If you choose a photo from your library instead, Facio only reads the one photo you pick.

3. Reminders

In the app: reminders are scheduled by your phone's own notification system. No information leaves your phone.

On the website: if you turn on reminders in your browser, we store the following on our server so we can send them: an anonymous push address created by your browser's notification service (run by Apple, Google or Mozilla), your morning and night reminder times, your time zone, the first name you entered, and whether you have a skin routine, a hair routine or both. This is deleted when you turn reminders off, delete your Facio data, or when your browser tells us the address no longer works.

4. Website hosting

The website is hosted by Netlify, which, like any web host, processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and keep them secure. The website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The app loads everything from inside the app and does not contact our servers.

5. What we do not do

• We do not ask you to create an account or collect your email or phone number.
• We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not sell, rent or share your information.
• We do not use your information to train any artificial intelligence.

6. Product suggestions

Facio suggests ingredients and may later show products from brands. If a listing is paid for, it will be clearly marked as sponsored. Brands never receive any information about you.

7. Your choices and rights

• Delete everything: on the routine page, tap Delete all my Facio data. Uninstalling the app or clearing your browser's site data also removes it.
• Camera and notifications: you can turn these on or off at any time in your phone's Settings. Facio still works without them: you can upload a photo or describe your skin or hair instead.
• Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), the EU and UK GDPR, and similar laws where you live, you can ask what information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Because almost everything stays on your device, the only information we could hold is the website reminder information described in section 3.

8. Children

Facio is for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, please use Facio with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Security

Information on your device is protected by your phone's own security, so please keep a screen lock on. Website reminder information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with our hosting provider.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
